Please DO NOT Post In The General Section
From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.
The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.
For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.
Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.
Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

today did some work. Got the battery in the trunk, the intercooler mounted, and the tb to intercooler piping done. tomorrow I need to go have the compressor flange made, then run the hot side piping. then wideband o2 and I'm done.
Question for all those that have installed a wideband, where do you splice into, the ecu or the 8(?) pin connector near the relay?Shift_BOOST

So I started doing charge pipes, Got the hole cut for the tb to cooler side, started grinding it all down, went to turn off my air compressor, and it started smoking and blowing sparks. Fuse blew, so I am somewhat delayed again. I was using it to saw/grind, so I may be able to do the "hot side" pipes today, but not sure. Tb to cooler side is done though. Wb and BOV is all that will be left. We might start welding the BOV on tonight, depending if my dad wants to fix the compressor or do my BOV. Update later tonight.Shift_BOOST

wideband info helped a lot. Got it all figured out
Update: Everything is done, except for one f*cking pipe, and I don't have any pipe to fit from the hot side to the intercooler. All I need is like a 4 in long pipe that's kinda in the shape of a "S". So I have to wait till monday so I can go to the muffler shop and have them make that one pipe. Everything else is set to go, except the turbo timer. Still have to wire that in. sucks too, I spent 4 hrs today doing stuff to my car, and it comes down to one little pipe. Oh well, I'll let you guys know when I have it on.Shift_BOOST

for a few weeks now I have been trying to get this one last pipe made to fit to the intercooler. I went to meineke this morning and they said they couldn't do it. 3 muffler shops and no one can do it. I am going to search for a 90 degree silicone hose, and try something else, otherwise you guys might see my turbo kit up for sale...Shift_BOOST

it's not exactly an S pipe, its a 90, then needs to be bent to fit to the intercooler. I have two ideas, I'm gonna see If I can get a 90 aluminum pipe, and see if meineke will bend the rest and have that fit, if not I'm gonna get a 90 silicone connector and have a small pipe bent a little go to the intercoolerShift_BOOST

thought about the flexible "hump" silicone connector. You at the discouraged stage right now...been there, just realize your almost done. And be prepared for something else to go wrong as soon as you start the motor. If you can draw up a quick representation of what the pipe needs to look like i could possibly help.
edit: i'm making a prediction right now...you'll be my successor.Knowledge is power...in EVERY sense of the word

we'll, the time has finally come. I saw my first bit of positive pressure inthe manifold today. I am running Iamanonymous' original f22b map with a lot more fuel and a good bit of ignition retard. My dad welded my BOV on tonight and I put together all my intercooler piping. On 93 octane and stock spark plugs, it runs pretty good. My boost gauge isn't working so I have to figure that out tomorrow, so right now I don't know how much boost I'm hitting. I wont go past 4k though, just safety till this thing has new plugs/tuned. Tomorrow will be an early morning of tuning before work at noon. As of right now, nothing has gone wrong(fingers crossed). I tripled checked everything to make sure I didn't miss anything. The motor pulls very nicely, but noticed in a 4th gear pull some lagging due to the ignition retard. It's got a lot more potential, and I'll be bringing it out in the next week or two.
Much thanks to Accord R33, Midnite Racer X, Iamanonymous, and anyone else I forgot for the help. I'll update tomorrow on the tuning process.
EDIT: Adam, I'll be calling you shortly so we can have a little tuning session, just posting this in case I can't call you.Last edited by 92ex; 07-23-2005, 11:44 PM.Shift_BOOST

be careful with that map, it is OLD. check this link for an overview of my current settings in uber. take into consideration the difference in our internals as well...at 10 psi dont pass 23* until i do...
just to be safe
