Wow; the difference smaller tires make!

Alright, my car had 185/70 Good Year Invicta's(something like that) on them, the front got worn so I swapped them with the back. Plenty of tread. Anyways, there's this on-ramp that I usually take when going home from work, and those tires would start squealing around 45mph midway through the turn.
Well, last weekend one of the tires blew so I replaced both fronts with "Formula GT" All-Season 185/60 tires from my Miata wheels. I took that same turn this morning, but at about 63mph and it didn't squeal not once. The car rolled a hell lot more though. I don't know if it's the compound or profile, but the guy I bought the miata wheels told me he just got something cheap. I'm pretty sure less sidewalls=less rotating mass too. So if you're looking for new tires and have stock wheels, try 60 profile tires.

only thing is your speedo now reads a tad high

        Factory sizes are:

        185/70-14
        195/60-15

        A 60 series on a 14" much look tiny.

The lower sidewall results in less flex of the sidewall.
