Good info. When I upgrade to a P28, I'll be sure to remember that. I'll tell my tuner/chipper to make the IABs functional.

Updates.
I've been soo busy and soo tired lately. Haven't had a day to myself to just relax or anything. It's also been cold everyday.
I called my local Honda dealer that I normally pick all of my parts from, and had them place the order for my timing components. I'll pick them up later this week.
My ECU came. It's a JDM P13 (governed), and a member on here sold it to me. Thanks.
Few more things to come, and I'll add pictures when I get a free chance. The Lord watches over me!

- Mobil 1 Oil Filter

I'm planning on replacing the cam seals when the motor is being rebuilt. The Lord watches over me!

My header arrived today. I had to stay home to make sure I received my already once missed package.
Any whoot, I'm going to pick up some header wrap, and wrap this thing like there's no tomorrow to ensure it lasts for a long while.
Pics to follow:
I'll spray it down with some DEI High Temp Silicon after it's complete. BTW, I'm making a gasket from Aluminum in the machine shop specifically for this application to the proper dimensions because these headers always seem to have a problem with the gasket going. I'm going to fix that. I'll see when I get in the shop which alloy and thickness I'm going with. Right now, I think I have some left over 1/16" 6061-T6 which I may use. We'll see. I'd rather use an 1100 or 2000 series alloy, but I have to see if there is some to my avail.Last edited by Straight Success; 02-28-2013, 12:15 AM.The Lord watches over me!

Congrats man
Seems like you are going to get this done sooner than later. Happy for you! Working in the street sucks balls. I can relate.
Gotta give the nod for doing it right w/oem parts and the whole 9 yards. Nice to see you are not half assing it.Originally posted by wed3kim a douchebag to people and i don't even own a lambo. whats your point? we, douchbags, come in all sorts of shapes and colours.

I was taking a look at your parts list, and I see you plan on getting a Honda T/O bearing and an Exedy clutch kit. Get the clutch kit first and take a look at the throwout bearing that comes with it, its usually an OEM quality part. My exedy kit came with a Koyo T/O bearing, which is likely what you'll get from the Honda parts counter.

Thanks for the kind words, support, and advice. It definitely helps out a lot with making it past the frustration stage. I want to drop it in now, but I sure as hell don't like half assed jobs. This is why I'm bing patient, and trying/planning a good documentation on this swap every step of the way. Now, I just have to get a few more things, and wait for Mother Nature to send me some good weather. I'll keep trying to make this thread as fruitful as possible. The Lord watches over me!
