you need obdI dizzy and injectors.
the h22 or h23 nonvtec bracket on drivers side.
you need upper plenum or complete h22 Intake Manifold. (iacv on obd2 is 3 wire) the blacktrax adapter will not work unless you have a euro r manifold.

I have a great basemap for the h23 vtec off of my tuned h23 so if you want
I got chips and ecus for that all day long, just let me know.

if I recall that is pretty much it.

you can also save the h23 vtec bracket and sell to a 5th gen guy doing a h22 swap. they work for them.
I 2 am also doing a h23 v-tec into a 90 2 door lx. all this is very good information with perfect timing.
the one item im definitely missing is a ecu to run this setup. I would love to buy an ecu and chip/tune if the offer stands.

from what I am hearing is you can use a p13 obd1 'H22' ECU

        a chipped p72 ecu

        chipped p06

and a chipped p28 im sure there is more maybe

So other than the timing bracket and the OBD I conversion and the upper IM swap (OBD I), this is exactly like doing an H22a swap and is just as easy?

I have found that you can get these blue top engines cheaper than H22's. Are there any power advantages to them or is the H22a better? I find it interesting to note that the blue top came in only automatics and also in the only Accord that was 4 wheel drive.

Do not forget about the transmission. You can either use custom mounts or drill and tap the holes. Or just use the F22 transmission.

I already have the H series mount because I have an H23 transmission. Plus I have the 5 speed conversion mount kit made for the H series.

I have a heavy wagon though, I may rather have a coupe to put the H23 into just to make it best as possible. I mean, in you'alls opionion is a wagon worth putting money and tuner parts into? Sure the wagon looks nice, but its heavy brute.

                Edit:

I was reading and the wagon is maybe 100 lbs heavier... If my car actually had some power maybe it wouldn't seem so heavy haha.
So the H23 Vtec doesn't seem like a bad idea after all.

thats only if you are auto and converting to 5sp . but if you have a manual one your fine . only bracket you have to change is inside the timing cover needs to be h22 or h23 non v for your drivers side mount to work . other then thats its like an h22 swap guide .

Alright I have another question, can I use the original H23 blue top ecu that came from japan? They are selling them cheap right now online.

I figure you would have to get one of those obd 1 to obd 2 conversion harnesses for the ecus... I do not know though.

No because there all autos . You need a chipped p28 or p06 or p72 you need to get it chipped with h23a sir basemap . I'm just bought a p06 I'm going to send it to a tuner I know who's going to add the basemap with vtec added and 2step .

Those are made to adapt an OBD1 ECU into an OBD2 chassis harness so that those people can actually tune, not the other way around.

Curious as to why anyone would "TUNE" a bone stock motor, even if you were to run an S300 and Adjustable Cams-Gears Bone stock with bolt ons isn't gonna warrant you much gain over a chipped or stock ecu.

                          Just curious.

Because you can't use a stock H23VTEC ECU

Then you use a Chipped P28 and be done with it, or a P13. Either way putting a Stock car on the Dyno and SPENDING for a Tune seems ridiculous to me.

Surprised you would say that, since the "chipped" aspect of an ecu is the "tune"

So, basically what you are saying is ridiciulous, you are also saying you are supposed to do?

Chipped p28 is just loading a tune map onto a p28 ecu. The TUNE varies, and should be fine tuned to each individual chassis.
