That thread started in 2009..., Nice to look at though.
even in 2009 it is still considered up to date since the engine is younger than our original ones ,,,, however when seeing this, I had some questions in mind
for this engine rpm and torque, would our cb7s be considered like civics for such an engine ?! would the cb7 have a better gas mileage when its body weight is being pulled by a more powerful engine.

K20 is the equivilant of a H22 in our cars, same HP (give or take). Just old and new technology. Not sure about gas milage. I'm sure it would get better gas milage too as its new.
^ I'm sure the fact that an entire K20 drivetrain is about 80lbs lighter than an H22's would help economy. Still about 70lbs for the K24.
Isn't that ChampCoupe's car, though?
I don't know who's the guy I just was amazed of how he got this 2000+ tech into a late 80s technology (CB7 designed in the 80s I guess) seems to me like Honda tech is ageless ... the only thing I found that made a difference is the use of lightweight material in the new generations Chassis to reduce weight thus pushing fuel economy while maintaining great power/torque
come to think of it, if you put let's say an H22 in a 2006 civic that you got from a car accident at the junk yard then you will be off with the same performance and fuel economy too as compared to an H22 in a CB7 or Prelude 92-96
I am surprised that you mentioned the K20/K24 has less weight than H22 / F22 / F23 .... since I noticed that its volume is bigger and need special brackets and special mounts to be welded / designed for the CB7 to handle it .... I thought it puts more load on the CB7's chassis.
Guess it was an eye trick/mistake ... so it is doable. have any of the people who've done it reported any performance / benefits / fuel economy / better driveability than the stock CB7 be it F22 or H22 swaps ?
