    k series swapping

who here if anybody is k-swapped?

    looking to start mine soon.

what axles are available for k cb7's?

    my setup will consist of:

    innovative mounts
k24a1/k20a2 hybrid or k24a2 (still not sure)
rsx/ep3 5 speed manual for now
    02-04 harness
hybrid racing universal k swap harness
    kpro
gonna try to see if using oem shifter and cables is possible.

only need to figure out the axles.

    any suggestions/comments welcome.

I was under the impression that the mount kits available for the K-series engine for Accord chassis were limited to Accord/TSX transmissions.

I was looking that up the other day out of curiosity. I couldn't find anything but after market axles specifically for swaps and they were a crap load of money.

glad you posted that link to axles. i knew i saw somewhere that sold them but couldnt find them.

they make 2 different mount kits. 1 does only use tsx/accord and the other only works with type-s/si trans.

Also, if you're familiar with Aaron Bonk's Honda Engine Swaps book, he's more recently published one based around K-swaps. It includes an Accord/Prelude section, albeit a bit brief compared to the Civic/Integra sections. Good general info on the different K engines though.

Oh really? I'll remember that the next time I get excited about my pipe dreams.

We desperately need some write-ups for K-swaps on this site. There have been a few K-CBs already, and I think a solid DIY or two would really boost interest in the swap. We have enough serious F/H builds on this site, so I don't think the cost is too much of an issue anymore.

Neither of those look familiar, actually. It's been a while since I've really surfed the MRT section. But I found the one I was thinking of: ChampCoupe. Not sure if he ever completed the swap, though.

Too rich for my blood. That driver side tranny mount looks kinda sketchy.
