F22B1 Swap Info

Is the f22a1 tranny the same as the f22b2? I was wondering if they are interchangable they look exactly the same. Are there any differences between the two. This is regaurding 5-speed or auto.

Difference between trannies.

The only significant difference between the f22b and f22a tranny is the mount and mounting bracket. This goes for both auto and manual. I used the 94-97 tranny and its mount and bracket in my cb7 and it worked perfectly, no mods made.

quick question....so with the F22B1 that comes stock in the 94...with v-tec...will I get any gains from just swapping out the ECU to a P28 chipped and get it tuned? ( I am running it in the 94 Ex shown in my sig)

so if i have the 94 alternator and etc will i have to do the same modds that you had to do? and can i just swap the intake manifold and fuel rail from my f22a on to the f22b

The F22a intake manifold will not fit on the f22b1. I would go with an f23a intake manifold if you don't all ready have the stock one. The f23a I/m has better flow than the f22b1.

ok i am doing this swap now... not that i want to. its on a buddies 90lx auto and gettin a 96b1 motor and manny tranny. so far all that has been done is i pulled the old motor switched out the alt and alt bracket new timing belt waterpump changed out the EGR's so i could plug the 90 engi harness up to the f22b1. and this was a 1995 06 month so i am considering it obd2 motor? ethier way i have done a obd2 conversion on my accord myself so i dont figure to much is different. i have a pig tal for the Map already will wire up once in car to the black box. anyways. best advise to ecu's to use. this guy is going to want to feel his vtec "kick" so p13 or chipped p28 ? Dizzys to use? i used the f22a's it mounted upside down though so i dont know if that would be 180-out or what lol if i use the dizzy that comes on the b1's would any wiring need to be done for using the f22a's harness? also do you use the a's injectors or the b1's
i believe i need to get some different mounts to cause of the auto to manny swap. 90-93 ex rear man mount and transmount work in a 90 auto lx? oh he dose have his spoolsh vtec controller but the only wire i see to vtec is to the silionoid... i dont see a pressure or ground to it and it looks totaly different from my h22a4's :P

so im goin to the junk yard tomorrow and do i need to get a new blak box thing? Im gettn an exhaustmanifold driver mount. And would it make it easier if i just get the harness for the f22b
