    Lowdown on B16B/B18C5/6/7

    Just wanted thoughts and ideas on swapping B-series into our accords. Just got to thinking outside the box as far as swaps go.

    As far as the B16b goes, i was thinking of the 1.6 outta the 98+ JDM CTR. And the B18c5 - 1.8 97+ USDM ITR. The c6/7 are the 1.8 96+ JDM ITR's. Just a thought. Input/comments welcome.

    jdm itrs dont have number codes after the b18c

    On another note, all of those swaps sound good, i would do the b16 cause it has alot of torque.

    190.3whp 155 wtq - with bolt ons, and a dc header

    ET=14.457 @ 94mph w/ 2.173 60Fter

      People dont do B-series swaps into accords, because there are more effective, and cheaper, motors out there to swap in. Honestly, for the effort you would be putting in, you would be getting a slower car than one with say, an H22a in it. Can it be done? Im sure it can . . . but is it worth it in the long run? not in my opinion.

        well i thught the b18c(no number) is out of 94+ teg sir-g? thats what the info i have tells me. Heres what ive got:
        b18c - jdm 94+teg sir-g
        b18c1 - usdm 94+ gs-r
        b18c5 - usdm 97+ ITR
        b18c6/7 - jdm 96+ ITR

        but yeah the b16 might be a fun choice

          Haha thats great.....Dont swap a B series into our heavy ass accords...its pointless and a waste of money sure its thinking out the box but its not gonna happen unless you have a 3g accord or so.

                if you were going to do this swap, what tranny would you use and what axles would fit??? In my opinion, if our cars came with a 2.2 or in some cases 2.0, i think that anything less wouldn't be as functional as it would be in civics or integras. You'll never know until you try it so good luck!!!!

                      Hey, im a pretty patient guy, but DAAAM. I aint trying to take 1 hour to go up the hill with a D motor in my CB7!!!!

                        yea i raced a B16 swapped Del Sol, and it could barely pull on me. I was on his front wheel the whole race and i only got a F22a4. So i couldnt even imagine a B16 in our heavy accords.

                          LMAO!! yea same here lol. Dont go through all the trouble of swapping in a b series. Swap in a H22 and it will take ya a second to get up that hill lol.

                            I'm curious, what mods do you have on the a4?

                            I have driven a Del Sol Si-R and even though it had no torque whatsoever, I felt it had a definite edge over my cb7 f22a1 w/basic bolt ons (IHE).

                            How do you guys think a turbo B16 or B18 may peform in the cb7?
