    92 accord wont start

this car has always been dead on reliable for me and this is really frustrating...

a week ago i went to go to class and it wouldnt start. crank, and ocasionally glug, but no start. i got a ride to class from my gf, came home alter in the day, and it fired up fine. wtf.

so today i get up to go to class and same thing. crank, glug occasionally, but no start. wtf.

this time it hasnt been so easy ot get her to start. idk wtf it is. not once during that entire week did it give me any kind of crap. it seems as if its happening when the car sits overnight, once its started it will start everytime without any issues.

    any ideas?

Its probably something very simple, like the main relay.

x2 on the main relay. My civic did the same thing for a while, replaced the main relay and no more problems.

There's a thread somewhere that tells how to replair the main relay if you don't wanna spend the $40 or so to buy a new one. I just splurged on the new one.

i would say its definitely the main relay man its an easy fix. its up under the dash on the drivers side. bolted to the kick panel. im sure you can find a pick on here somewhere of whjat it looks like just search around a lil bit.

Definitely the main relay. The one on my wife's bordeaux red wagon did it for the longest time. Took it out, resoldered and BAM! Works like a charm.

Now Black Beauty on the other hand needed a replacement. The coils were fried on the relay.

                  Hope this helps.

Eh, yeah a main relay is possible. Usually we only see that in the summertime when its hot though. Is the CEL on?
