    Low Beams Not Working

    Hi all,

I just noticed a bad problem with my car. I went to go out tonight, got in my car turned on my headlights and backed out of my driveway, when I looked forward I noticed I had no lights on, like I was just driving around with my parking lights on.

I switched my fogs on, backed up into the driveway and gave up going out. I have no idea what just happened. My low beams just don't turn on. Its raining out now and dark so I can't really check anything, but I checked the 2 fuses for the headlights in the underhood fuse box and they're both good.

My fogs have OEM wiring, so they have the headlight relay. They only are powered when the headlights are on, so I'm assuming the headlight switch is still good. Since if it was bad and not turning on the headlights, the fogs shouldn't be allowed on.

My high beams work fine, both switched on with the headlights on or flicked light when I want to flash someone (woo!, i mean).

My hunch is that it might be the headlight relay in the fuse panel under the hood. I talked to my friend and we've kinda narrowed it down, but once again because it is raining and dark out, I don't feel like going out there and checking it and getting soaked, I don't need my car tonight, and if there was an emergency, driving with my fogs is like driving with projectors, only less ricey

But anyways, am I on the right path? I don't know what else this could be. I don't feel that both my headlights could simultaneously blow?

measure the voltage at the low beam to see if there is power.

usually id say fuses but if ur highs work then its not the fuse, if ur fuse was blown nothing would work, headlights that is.

u can interchange the relays in the fuse box temporary...the dimmer relay has a relay above it or below it...u can just swap em to test if that relay just went bad...just TO TEST ONLY heheh
What makes me laugh about forums, is that no matter how much you try to help someone, they dont take the advice. Go ahead and do it the hard way.

You got to respect what you drive, and appreciate what you have, making the best of what you got. and if that means putting CAI, HID's, a phat stereo system, and a idiot in the drivers seat...then so be it!

    Retro!

I love nooBs...They make me look good

So the relay could definitely cause the headlights not to work? Because like I said I haven't checked the relays, just the fuses (it was dark and stuff)
