Oil pressure range....

I've done a bit of searching, check my manual and Chiltons and can't find the target oil pressure range for our cars. According to my Glowshift gauge and with 5w30 oil, I'm at 100psi cold 30 degree start and down to 15psi heat soaked 55 degrees at idle.

I can't find the correct, factory specs for oil pressure though to compare to. I KNOW 15psi is too low and I will switch to a heavier oil, this thread isn't about that, please post if you actually know what the oil pressure should be.

I'm interested to know this also as I just rebuilt my engine and have been monitoring pressure. Called the local Honda dealer service dept. ... no help.

Evidently this data doesn't really exist. I know Hondafan81 was gathering oil pressure readings from different people and it must have been for this reason.....to get an average and produce a desired range...

hi i just got my Glowshift gauge in i got 100 psi cold ,18-20psi all warmed up idle. 75psi running 1,800rpm`s. with 5-40 and a quart of luces oil stabliser ..but i got a tick in it ? i think i might need a new head/valve train ..hope the mains are ok i think

mine is around 80psi cold started then once warmed up drops to around 20 at idle and at 5k its around 40psi.
