    Clutch pedal vibration

Did a clutch/flywheel replacement a few months ago with all Exedy OE parts. I used the Exedy provided release bearing.

Since that clutch job I've been getting a very noticeably and intense (high frequency) vibration through my clutch pedal on all mid-high rpm shifts ONLY while pushing the clutch IN. The vibration is almost a tickling sensation it's so intense, really weird. So did I screw myself by not using a Honda OEM release bearing or could this issue be caused by something else?

Oh and I'm running a stainless braided -3an flexible hose directly from the clutch MC to slave. No dampener.

I think it is caused by this not by the release bearing...

I didn't have any vibration out of my last clutch and it was a crappy xtd disc and release bearing. this vibration is new with the new exedy clutch kit.

I think what's happening(Just did my clutch and my fly) is that the clutch linkage that goes to the top of the tranny is kinda loose. Did you take out the washer from when you put it on? I couldn't fit the washer and the spacer with a cotter pin so I kinda left the washer out :X now I have vibration too. But I really dont notice it anymore.

I put the washers back. I don't think the shift linkage could at all cause a vibration through the clutch pedal, they're two completely different systems.

Idk then mang. I would say throwout bearing/release bearing but you said it's not that stuff.

Think the flywheel isn't balance correctly?

I never said it wasn't the throwout bearing, all I said is I used the Exedy supplied one and I HOPE it isn't the throwout bearing. Either way, until it starts squealing I'm not pulling the tranny again unless I just find a warm day with nothing to do and am bored.

Did you get the flywheel machined when you fitted the new clutch?

Oooooh sorry read that wrong then.

                      Yeah maybe it's that.

I mean I dont know a lot about 5 speeds I do have one myself but im assuming it could be anything from CMC to Throwout bearing.

Could the clutch fork be sticking?

No, it's a brand new OE Exedy flywheel. One thing about this flywheel I thought was strange is it does not have a center bearing at all, just a hole just big enough for the tranny mainshaft to slide into. I greased it good with synthetic axle grease same as the release bearing.

EDIT: See flywheel center hole below:

And driving today I realized I told you wrong......the vibration happens while pushing the clutch IN.

Throwout bearing. Does it do it when you hold it down? Or just depressing it.

I think it's your throwout bearing if it doesn't vibrate when you hold it down.

The only vibration felt is THROUGH the clutch pedal, it vibrates during depression and while depressed at any depth with rpms over 2k. Essentially, vibration is felt through the pedal when there's any pressure on it AND rpms are 2k+. I'm almost certain it's the release/throwout bearing. Never thought the Exedy supplied one would be bad.
