    coupe window issue

WTF is the deal with the windows on the coupe! My driver side, just put a new motor in, was working fine for a day then it wouldn't roll down properly. I hit the switch to go up and then back down and it would keep jamming. Then all of a sudden BAM, the little button on the top corner of the door holding the window in the channel busted. I was able to move the remaining piece in the track up and pull the window up so it's closed but I can't roll it down properly now. What's the deal y'all!!??

It sounds like your window might be off track or out of alignment inside the door. Pull the panel and then the plastic (if it's still there, and look for things that do't look right. Make sure any bolts are tight, and that everything looks connected inside the door as best you can, then replace the button. You'll have to pull the track it slides in ( there are screws under the rubber strip if it's still there) then attach the button through the glass, slide the track onto it, roll the window down and re-attach the track. Took me about ten minutes for the whole button thing.
You can get that litle button for the glass from Majestic .

Thanks, I think it's part # 23-26 that I need. I had just replaced the window motor so and it was going up and down fine then BAM! The button broke.

23-26 are all a part of part #1. You might as well replace the entire assembly (it's cheaper than buying hose pieces individually.), and you'll probably have to when you find the rest of the parts. There's no number for the exterior button that goes through the glass (next to the number 33), you'll notice.

I understand now and I do see that the exterior part doesn't seem to be part of the grouping. I did find a dealer that will ship the pin kit to me for $13.25 part included. Any idea of how the install works? I imagine the piece that slides into the track will just slide down the bottom and out but figured I would ask.
          Thanks a bunch!

I just did mine. I removed the track (#18) it slides in from the door. The rubber strips (#19) inside the track were already gone, so I just unscrewed the track and took it off and set it aside. Then I "flexed" the window a little, put everything together through the glass (it's pretty easy to see how it fits together) and tightened it up. Then I slipped the track over the new tab until it was all the way back on the glass, rolled the window down a little bit, put the top screw back in, then finished rolling the window down and put the screws back.

Thanks man, wasn't sure if I had to remove a bunch of stuff or not. The part should be here today so I'm going to tear into it and get it fixed. Thanks for the help!

Got it fixed and decided to loosen the motor and work the window up and down to make sure it didn't bind and it's all good now. Thanks a ton!

you do have a point about the coupes though
the pin your talking about that holds the window in the track in he top corner of the glass commonly snaps and its only the coupes that have it.
the plastic just becomes weak over time and stress from the glass being loose in the track pushing against the pin causes it to break

Odd, neither my original nor my replacement part were made from plastic.

Some sort of metal, probably die cast zinc.
