There's not one. There is a camshaft sensor inside the dizzy. 5th gens have a crank sensor down behind the lower timing belt cover but the 4th gen does not.

Right, Well i replaced the dizzy/cap/rotor/plugs/wires...and i got no spark. the smoke coming from the steering colum is really bothering me. Is there a relay, or controller on the firewall near the steering rack and colum that would control spark???

Not for spark but there is the main relay under there which sends power to the fuel pump.....a common failure problem but I have never heard of one smoking. You'll need to either replace it or take it apart, clean and re-solder any broken connections.

But the main relay controls the pump not spark right?? Ive been working on the car for days now, and i cant route the problem. I might as well take the main relay apart, but i just dont think it would cause no spark.

I NEED to figure this out and save me the headache of bringing it to the shop.

What methods are you using to test for spark and fuel?

i would think that smoke coming from the steering column might have something to do with it. Pull plastics off, look for anything thats burnt/melted. Find that smoke, fix the problem, and your car will probably run.
