    HVAC duct question

So the fan in uzume quit blowing completely. The fuses are good (even swapped with known good ones to verify), but it's too freaking cold to spend a few hours in a car at the yard pulling a blower motor, and then a few more in mine. And then I had a eureka moment:

I've been wanting to install some orange footwell lights under the dash for a while, and I came across some 80mm X 80mm 12 volt amber LED fans that push about 25 CFM apiece. My idea is to install them blowing into the footwell duct outlets so they'll blow air in and up to the defrost vents on the dash. I'll get airflow to clear the windshield (and a little heat) and I'll get my footwell lights all in the same shot. This should hold me until the weather warms up, at which point I'll probably buy a new blower motor, but with Christmas coming, I'm not shelling out the money when I can get by for under $15.

My question is where do the ducts for the footwells come out? Is it right behind the center console, or does it actually branch off somewhere? I tried looking on Majestic, but I can't tell from their diagrams and I'm sitting home with the newbie and it's fucking COLD out there, so I'm not going out there to crawl around under the dash to look for them.

    Thanks!

Did you ever end up doing this/finding the ducts?

The ducts come out behind the center console and are about 4 cm x 2 cm; two on each side. Needless to say, my plan did not work out the way I expected.
