4 gauge is a little excessive, espeically for the price, im going with 8 gauge, and i feel alot more power back, man is my engine bay dirty.. .talk about bringing threads back from the dead.

dont' think it's that bad. grounding a 8 guage from the neggie is not so good.Originally posted by js5934 gauge is a little excessive, espeically for the price, im going with 8 gauge, and i feel alot more power back, man is my engine bay dirty.. .talk about bringing threads back from the dead.
most people use 4 gauge anyhow.
but not to shit, i have felt improvement on not only my cb7 but my other 10 year old nissan.
the stereo (stock) is clearer and startup has been great. etc etc.
i only did 2 wires and i've seen improvement. the main thing is grounding a thick wire from the neggie onto the chasis.
then grounding everything else to the chassishahahahah

I used 4 gauge for every and anything for grounding. I might as well, thicker and better over stock. Basically I only did 3 wires so far. I could do more, but I just don't have the time and finances right now. But ever since making my own, I've seen improvement. I feel the car not sputtering when I turn on the lights, the same with rolling down windows and etc.Originally posted by 10thcb7so something large for the batt to chassis and then whaterever for the chassis ? or am i missing something ?
I believe it works and believe it helps, whether or not I gained, restored is another thing. I just like the improvements I'm having. I just replaced the stocks so far.hahahahah
