Tried the dyi trans cable adjust now accel problems

So like the title says i tried to diagnos another way of fixing my trans problem!
Fellow member said check shift cable adjust so i looked it up and went for it! .......Failed i tigtend my accel cable a little bit cus it did have its play but gave my no accel problem! So i adjusted it thinking it would tighten the cable up going to the trans which it seemed like it did... Didnt improve much but raise my idle to 1500 so i went to the idle air screw and turn it right till the rpms lowered to 1000ish-800 depending if i hit brakes while parked or turn the wheel a little!

Tested car and it felt slugish like it took for ever to run rpms but did pick up speed but slowly!

Im just not happy and if i just put my throttle cable back to where it originaly was how can reset the screw back to factory position? Tighten it down completely and losen how many full spins? Dumb? I know but thats whats we are all here for lol
First auto honda since 16 and im 23 and thinking of swaping to 5spd soon!

put the throttle cable back to where it was. then adjust the idle screw till u get 800rpm.

if you need to adjust the kick down cable, then adjust it at the level which is located at the front left side of the trans.

ps the kick down cable should be a little loose, not tight.

The throttle cable to the lever on the front of the transmission should not have any slack. Summary of Honda manual instructions in the link below.

yeah that is what i did about 5 years ago, but in reality that didn't work.

when i followed the steps from honda manual, every time i tried to accelerate, the trans wouldn't drop a gear lower. and every time i went to a full stop, i would feel the trans go through all the lower gears till i stopped.

what worked best of me was to leave the kick down cable a little lose.

I had to tighten mine (on the EX) to get it to stop the torque converter from locking/unlocking at highway speeds at the wrong time (would lock climbing a hill, then unlock on level or going downhill).
