    Windshield wiper arms

Hey guys, I don't usually make a thread but i went to the phillies game and i go to leave and my windshield wipers don't work.

Now the motor is good the arms move slightly but do not go up.

Over the weekend i removed the hood bumper and the arms to replace that plastic cover that keeps the windshield motor in tact. *long stort short safelite fubar'd my plastic cover and WOULD not replace saying their guy did not damage the parts....anyway

Would tightening the wiper arms too tight cause this problem?

Or is there a special way to assemble them back onto the vehicle.

I made it home stopping at every light to wipe my windshield with a towel.

( i know i should have made sure they worked before leaving but i didnt know they were so sensitive)

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Sorry for the dumb question but im at this point.

I was able to go loosen the nuts and still to no avail...

Is there something i should have done before i took them off? I feel like this is the easiest fix.

I believe I had to align them a special way and the 2 rods are installed differently

      Check out deckeda's guide.

TYVM I appreciate the help. I will remove the cowl again and see if my arms are busted. I may have fubar'd them in the process of removing the cowl. Didn't know it was called a cowl lmfao. I learned something new today.

When you take the wiper arms off, check the spline inside the end of the arm, it may be stripped. I've had to replace one or two on my Accords over the years. The nut only needs to be snug, not super tight; it just holds the arm on, the splines do all the work.
