Michelin X-Ice or Nexen Winter guard winter tires

Anyone have experience with either the Michelin X-Ice or the Nexen Winter Guard winter tires?

From what I've read, the Michelin X-Ice is a good tire but will wear faster. The Nexen, well, I've not heard much about.

Michelins usually last a long time, they also usually work well.
Blizzak's are also a known good winter tire, but my dad had them on his IS 300 and he was still sliding around and gets stuck even with all the electronic assists.

I run Goodyear Nordic's from Canadian Tire.
I actually run to slightly different ones I forget, the fronts are the regular Nordics with the tread more like truck tires, and the rears are a Nordic or Motomaster style winter anti ice tire that prevents the rear from sliding greatly.
I have run this setup for 2-3 years and I almost feel like I have AWD in the snow. I can even get traction from a dig in the snow!

I just bought two Xice2 tires for the fronts, so I guess I'll find out for you :P So far they have been working great on wet roads, won't know for sure on ice/snow for at least another month or two.

I had Blizzaks on the front of a 03 Accent. I drove from Branson to Springfield in 18" of snow. I could pass snow plows up hill and drive 55-60 fairly safely. There are hills so step on that highway that have to have a thrid lane for big trucks. Ive seen trucks only be doing 25-35mph at the top of some of them.

I might not live in Canada but i do live in the Ozarks and winters here can be hell. The weather and the terrain are poor.
