    dizzy harness advice

    so tonight i replaced my dizzy seal because i was leaking oil threw the dizzy on the inside and i ran into this

    so the wiring is done i know but if i snag one out of the jy ill be good right i figured id ask you guys first that and i did this like two hours ago so no jy is open either. 93 f22a6

    Years ago I coated my wires separately in that liquid electrical tape sealant stuff after only cracking one wire like that. A junkyard one will most likely crack too unless your super careful while removing the harness not twisting or bending wires(pretty hard to do) or you might luck out and get one with less brittle wires but not likely.

    I made a jig to hold the wires in the proper places while coating so they weren't moved any more than needed.

      I had that happen to my 93 LX sedan a couple years ago. I bit the bullet and bought a new distributor. The more you manipulate the wires to try to coat or tape them, the more likely you are to break a wire or connection.
