    Iacv Problems

Hello this is for the 10th Anniversary edition. My most recent problem is It will idle at 1k in park or neutral sometimes the idle with surge between 1k-2k only when the engine is warm. When the car is put into drive or reverse it will go down to 750 idle but you'll hear a loud whistling sound most likely a vacuum leak obviously. But here's what's a bit odd when I unplug the IACV it will idle in park at 1k with no surging then I go to plug it back in it will do small surges from 1k-1.2k constantly where normally when it surges from 1k-2k it will even itself out after a few times. Does this sound like a possibly clogged IACV along with a vacuum leak? Or just a bad IACV? I will be cleaning it tomorrow + searching for a vacuum leak anyone's opinion would be greatly appreciated though. Forgot to mention it stumbles upon start up sometimes only when the car is warm and shut off then started back up again. I've heard where this is possibly related to the IACV.

Was just looking through this diagram noticed that the F22A1 in my 10th Anniversary edition doesn't have the intake control solenoid valve, intake control diaphragm and the intake control check valve. The vacuum hose that goes from the manifold is capped off at the manifold. What's a bit odd is my F22A1 in my 90 has all of this. Could this possibly be the problem of the surging/high idle?

Pretty sure I located the problem it's the idle air control valve when-ever it's disconnected it idles at 1k and when it's put into gear it idles at 750 like it normally would without that whistling vacuum leak sound so right now I have my 90 parked inches away from the 93 about to swap idle air control valves as soon as the engines cools to see if it fixes the problem on the 93. Most likely the idle air control valve on the 93 needs new gaskets and to be cleaned.

Surprised that nobody replied. I believe I have the issue fixed so far it may just need a cleaning but can't do it tomorrow because it's gonna be snowing. So here's the new plan I am looking to buy a used one from a junk yard because I noticed a couple more issues with the one that's on there already. How much should it cost at a junk yard for one of these?

Many U Pull type yards post their part prices on line.
