for the rest of the people here, i have done a serach and it seems it is the ignitor (ICM) most times than not. i did what the helm said about the voltage test between the 4 wires plugging into the ignitor, they all seemed fine... so i guess i will need to replace the ignitor, but it seems like i will need to remove alot of crap from the dist. area.

how do i get at the ignitor? there is that rotating metal ring right after the rotor...the helms seems to show that a pin goes through it...how the heck do i get that off? it seems i have to get that off before i can remove the rest of the adjacent structures to get at the ignitor. any help please!! thanks again all!!!!
blah it was an off day for me. but im not gonna be an ass about it..honest mistake. but i hope you get your problem fixed..

Did you say your car was running sluggish, have you had problems starting it, or had to jump it off. If so then i would check your alternator or your battery, because if your alternator isnt putting out enough voltage it will cause your tach. to start acting up, and sometimes your speedo. Take it down to AutoZone or wherever and have them run a test on your Alternator, its free, and a good place to start.

Oldie, but a goodie. Did head gasket, timing belt, water pump. After figuring out and correcting loose cam pulley bolt, ran great for a couple days, then started doing what is described above. Didn't find this thread early enough, after throwing a coil and ignition module at it based on other threads and Honda technician advice, found this thread and whadda you know? Ground bolt under thermostat loose. Tightened that up, running great. Thanks Art!
