I was going to suggest if that doesn't work take an air compressor and blow air threw the hose and it will push any crap that's plugged in there.

        Here's my solution to this...

TTT, bringin' this common prob. thread back...Here's what I did around Christmas time to my washer fluid hose:

        ----------------------------------------------------------------

I basically took another section of hose from a CB @ the junkyard and coupled it to the existing hose (gold color) and rerouted the entire thing through the hood skeleton. I must say, this works wonders, the pressure is so great that it nearly shoots over the roof!!! When the hood closes, the hose forms a "snake like coil" in the cawl pocket. The 2 main problems w/ the stock setup are: sort of pinched/crushed by the hinge and cawl gasket AND the part where it makes the sharp 90* bend to the nozzles. Those really harm the performance of the system!

Opinions are welcome and Mike, sorry to take your thread over!!!

I like that. I ended up cutting part of the cowl gasket...which was a stopgap fix. My pressure still isn't what it should be, but it appears this alleviates the problem.

              Beats using snow.

Japan produced and US produced accords have different "bellows" setups. My marysville produced EX had a bellows and my japan produced SE has some wierd L connector that ALWAYS comes out when I pop the hood. but in order of what's wrong, I would check the following in order:

                1: listen for the motor

2: check the bellows (US) or the L connector (JPN) with the hood up. If the bellows is cracked/leaking or even if its just stretchy looking, it needs replaced. a stretched bellows pinches under the hood when it closes. new one will not

3: washer nozzles can easily clog from dirt or sand ( esp. in the south) most of the time you have to replace them because it gets lodged inside the jets. if you use a needle, you usually end up enlarging the hole thus reducing the distance the jets can shoot then when you are on the highway, the water will get blown way down on the window. Keep in mind that the nozzles have a 1 year warranty if you buy OEM and the dealership will usually replace them graciously on warranty if you have a receipt. (remember, they get a small kickback for warranty replacements)

4: lastly, check the lines. They are the least likely to break but they definately can. they travel underneath the left fender.

i have found that the best way to unclug those washer nozzles, is with a staple,, yes.just regular staples... 1 staple from a stapler gun,, starighten it out and it will do the job,,,then blow compressed air ..but when you do so, blow air from the tube side so any gunk will come out,,,

                        1) Check motor is sucking up washer fluid
                        2) Check motor is working
                        3) Check hinge area of washer lines for cracks/rips or kinking (pressure loss)..reroute or fix kink
                        4) Check/clean squirters
                        5) Check for cracks/rips in any of lines

I believe yesterday, I used my washers and for some reason (maybe wind?) the stream was much higher up on the windshield. Some mist from the stream went on the roof and on the back window!!!! It was just mist, so I think it was from the wind, but it's powerful! The nozzles cannot be adjusted.

Thanks for the comments everyone, if anyone has ?'s, feel free to ask.

Our nozzles are adjustable. They are most likely happily in place after 13 years, but once you dislodge the little ball, you can move it around fairly easy. They are a bitch to adjust. One MINUTE movement makes the stream move far.. and i mean FAR. There are two types of nozzles for our cars. The most common is the ball type with a recessed hole. There is also a ball type with a raised hole which is a lot easier to adjust. I personally have no clue what technique Honda recommends for adjusting them though they say to not "stick anything in" the nozzle
