IS oil leak possible from intake manifold gasket

I am just trying to discover where an oil leak is coming from. can the intake plenum leak oil if bolts aren't tight. In other words is there oil passages coming thru those seals. I need to look at diagram i know but i figure i would ask first.

No. Most likely for you it's the valve cover gasket. But yes, if it's your valve stem seals. Like me. The intake plenum should have nothing but air in it.

Later V-tec motors have a tendency to leak through the V-tec pressure switch (connector terminals). I think that begins with the '98 F23A1 however, so is probably not your issue.

If it is on the passenger side of the motor, it is probably distributor o-ring. If on the front or back of the motor, either valve cover seal or oil pressure sending unit. If on driver side, cam seal or oil pump. Shouldn't be too difficult to observe how high the oil leak begins and this will tell you which of the things mentioned are most likely.
