Door keeps locking by itself.

Hey all i searched a little and found a few threads with the oppisite problem. At first i thought the whole thing siezed on me...Lucky for me i already had the panel off to replace my driver door handel. Anyways... when i shut the drivers door it locks by itself. when i try to unlock it, Its locks itself again.... So i just have to keep sitting there pushing the unlock button and pulling the handel rod untill i can finally open it.. Anybody have a clue?

Wires might be crossed lol. Thats a first. Its obviously getting power from somewhere. I would just follow the wiring and look for something crossed.

i had the same problem when i did the door panels. when u put the door panels on did u push the lock down while holding the handle up?get in the car and close the door it should lock or unlock and like reset itself. but if it is not that prolly it is a croossed wire. lol so that means u gotta pull out the door handle again.

See thats the thing... The door panel has been off. I havent changed the handle yet. So its been happening even with the panel off.. I checked all the wires and disconnected the old alarm wires and re-connected the old ones. I dont have a clue whats up. I might just try finding a whole new door.. My window doesnt work either. The door panel is beat to shit also...

Try rechecking the alarm wires.

what i do when i try to lock my door is pull the handle out as if i was getting out and then press the button down.

mine doesnt lock all doors sometimes if the handle isnt pulled. that stops it from playing the lock/unlock game with me.
