So you could basically leave the chrome trim on, and just cut the center out, right? Well, either way, when painting, does the chrome trim requiring any kind of sanding or prepping or did you just paint right over it? Any other fillers other than bondo or fiberglass/epoxy?
Got mine from HomeDepot. It's called gutter gaurd and it's sold in packs of like 5, sometimes individually though. When you see it you'll know it's the right thing.
note that I uesd JB WELD for the 2nd grill i made, the first one i used Bondo and it cracked and started breaking, not only in the middle but in the corners also.
So, I got another grill and used all JB WELD, and I can tell a huge difference in the strength of it. Just take your time and you will be fooling people with its clean looks before ya know it
also the mesh I used can be purchased at Home Depot for appox. $1.50 its Gutter Guard Mesh Grill
