My Paola (coupe) was hit today.

    Nov 18, 2008

This afternoon I wanted to go to Bruce's Speed Shop in Rockaway, NJ.

Bruce does great work on welding and piping so I wanted to get my downpipe redone for the coupe.

While going to park the guy leaving the parking lot kept reversing and backed up into me.

Called the Rockaway PD, they came minutes after. Cop wrote up the report. Its the other guys fault (Jon) for not looking in back of him correctly.

Going to go through the guys insurance to fix my baby. Mind you that its been 2 weeks since I last drove her.

good thing is that I wont have rust on one side...

first couple are cell phone pics after then I took pics with my camera..

this is how it looked like just 3 weeks ago

i'd replace that taillight yourself because it's going to come really close to totaling your car. every bit you can knock off the cost of repair the better. later.

god dammit!!! now they both have scars

that doesnt look TOO bad, at least it isnt completely mangled, its just kinda pushed in. but still what a shame, all you were doing was trying to park to give your baby some upgrades...

at least it wasnt YOUR fault. and now you can use it as an excuse to fix other things... repaint a new bumper (with a lip attached) and fix up that rust and stuff. let me know if you need ANY help. i sent you a txt....

Ya its pushed in pretty nice, enough for a heavy bill, its not like we can go the JY and buy a new rear side.

Let us kno how much it will b 2 fix.

                        Thanks all!

I was calm the whole time. I just get really sad/depressed when I see damage like that on my car.

I spoke to GEICO getting an estimate on Saturday for the repairs. I really dont want the car to be totaled. I looked inside the trunk and its not really bent on the frame. I do have an extra tail light but dont want to put it until they do the estimate.

The only good thing coming out of this would be the rust and maybe the trunk weather seal since it leaks when it rains..

It sucks at this time since I wanted to retune the car in December. Not sure if this can happen now..

depending on what shop you go to that looks like about $2500 worth of repair w/ parts.
Let me know if you want to come to our Honda body shop for an estimate
