Red one = h23a1

Black one = f20a dohc

Also, nice job on the red wrinkle paint. Did you do it yourself, and which product did you use if so?

Also, no idea on the extra tube on the intake. I've seen them on EX and SE's, maybe an extra resonator to quiet the car down even more.

Naaa pedroalcala painted the valve cover for me

Maybe early f22b's came with the honda motor co valve cover and the later years switched to he honda one?

^ This, I had it on my car also..my Dad's car still has it and it's too quiet when you step on it compared to my friends DX and my SRI.

The motor is looking great so far.

First things first

Pull the old engine out



Pull it apart and take the clutch /fly wheel off and install to the f20a



Lift the engine up



Drop the oil pan to clean out this sludge, install a new oil pan gasket and torque everything down to spec







Install the wiring harness and get ready for drop



And it looks just like the h23 for obvious reasons. The only difference is the heat sheild and the little cover on the valve cover with the japanese sticker on it

Well unfortunately the honda motor co valve cover has a dent/crack right on the top and on the timing cover

Is that something you could fix as well?

I actually have another h23a1 and f22a valve cover if you want to trade them for service lol
