can you please share on how you did that steering wheel? i know you have to put some spacers correct? please elaborate on that. does your cruise control function with it? i love your wheel!

The steering wheel is actually fairly simple.

Yes, everything is fully functional.

The shaft diameter and spline count are the same, so the wheel slides right on, but it doesn't have enough offset and grinds on the steering column cover.

It just so happens that the shaft diameter is just smaller than the inside diameter of the the AUTO tranny crush washers. I took 4 of those and JB welded them together at the base of the steering wheel and then notched the bottom to engage the turn signal reel. worked like a charm, and even though it seems ghetto, there is no stress on the crush washers, so it isn't supporting anything and doesn't really need to withstand a structural load. I have had that on there for 3 years now. I may eventually have our machine shop make a little replacement spacer for it, but it seems to be working fine.

As for the cruise control. The only difference is the plug, so I took the Accord plug and grafted it onto the Prelude wheel. The horn didn't require any modification.

The only down side is that the spacer makes the steering wheel nut seat right at the end of the shaft. I put a little threadlocker on there to keep it from working it's way off.

Yes they were shot out on the island in Lake Havasu. It is my hometown and my old stomping ground. One of the most beautiful places I have ever seen, I just don't like it that hot anymore.

It also has THE best sunsets I have ever seen. The one that is in the pictures really wasn't good at all.

I am at work, so I don't here. I don't have internet at home either because I am a cheap bastard. It takes too much money away from my CB. They are doing cable internet for $29.95 a month though, so I will probably get it. Besides, between work, classes and flying, I am never home unless I am asleep.
