laz93se - Is your radiator 2 row or 3? I am having cooling issues and the pusher fan is not working that great.
Raf99 - Mine is a Mishimoto 3 row half rad. What issues are you having and what's your setup?
Tishock - I always tell people to go with a three row. Especially for people like me that live in warmer climates. And pulling fans are more efficient than pushing fans. Also consider using a fan shroud with pulling fans. This way your entire core is having air pulled through it rather than just the area the fan alone covers.
laz93se - I currently have a 3 row but due to space I was forced to use a pusher fan. Car temps go to 215f when sitting at a light other wise it's drops to 198 when moving. I just bought a 2 row koyo half size , but I don't know if the fan I have will fit as a puller.
Tishock -What size is the fan and what's the CFM on that fan? You'll want to be around 1600 CFM for a 4banger. Also not trying to insult your intelligence but did you make sure its blowing in the right direction? Is it a puller, pusher or 2-way/reversible?
laz93se -No problem I don't feel slighted. It's a go autoworks 1550 cc fan, it reversible. I changed the polarity and flipped the blades. I can feel the air flow through it but I don't think it's enough to cool the 3 cores. Though the 3 row I have is an eBay product from cx racing, heard decent stuff about them on hondatech. The car does take 15 - 20 min to overheat while parked or idling.
Tishock - Yup, I'm also running the cx-racing radiator (see sig), their shroud and I believe a flexalite 2k CFM fan. Going on 4 years now. Had the first one another 3-4 years before a large piece of metal went piercing through it on the fwy. Have also installed them in a couple EGs with no problems. I assume the manifold is deceptively closer to the radiator than it looks in the pic in your MRT and probably runs a lot hotter than my header. Because it almost looks like you have enough room.
laz93se - I will post some pics on my members ride thread so you can see the clearance. I don't want to further thread jack , sorry raf.
My first cx-racing radiator was set up the same way as yours and had no overheating issues. Have you gone through the overheating diagnosis check list? Fan motor, relay, switch, thermostat....?

I removed the thermostat, everything else works fine. The fan stays on until I hit 30mph as programmed by Hondata.
Also idled the car for 15 with no cap to remove any air in the system.
I had the fan as a puller before installing manifold and turbo, just a open header on. No overheating issues, drove to the gas station a few times without a problem.
I can't remember, did you pull the a/c condenser? That will help a little with air flow. A puller fan helps a lot, that's what I use on my set-up. I'm assuming your not willing to turn your turbo and have the downpipe come on the alternator side? That will free up a lot of room. I know you would have to re-route some things.

No a/c , so no condenser. I can't flip the turbo , housing is to big and will hit the manifold. Agh this is the only issue keeping me from the dyno.
