Oh snap at the bikes now those are baller. They still got the training wheels! haah damn that first flower looks trippy with the photoshop edit. Nice pics!
nice pics everyone! a dedicated photography section will be awsome on here as more and more people are getting into it. From what I see there are a lot of Canon fans on here. Canons are awsome cameras but i decided to go with a Nikon, the D70 model to be exact. I got it for an awsome price from an photographer that upgrated to a D200. I also have several older Nikon lenses that still work so it was a logical choice. The camera should be here by the end of the week so Ill start posting pics when it gets here. There are a lot of great deals out there on line for those looking to buy a DSLR. My D70 with the lense retailed for $1300 when it was realeased 3 years ago and i got it for $650 on line. Cameta Camera is a legit and great place on Ebay to get stuff at great prices. Also check out KenRockwell.com for great reviews on photography and many explanations on the topic.
those shots look awesome... u should try messing with levels and curves in photoshop... it makes for some really stunning photos...
the photo forum is coming guys
x2 on what chris said. i know you have some PS skills, apply them with the pictures that you take. trial and error with all the setttigns, you'll learn alot more like that. but anyways, GREAT PICS.
great start man!!! the 2nd one would look better if ur aperature was a bit smaller so the whole flower, or wutever taht thing is would be perfectly focus, dang ur strut bar looks banged up..

Thanks guys!
The 2nd one didn't look like i thought it did in the viewfinder. i was trying to get it to go progressively out of focus. That plant is like 3 feet tall. And the strut bar is from a JDM type R, it probably sat in a junk yard or something for some time.

things like this happen all the time for me, that's why i always take the same picture again. but trial and error is a good way to learn.
it takes time to get use to the viewfinder, but the view finder only shows the actual subject as u would see it with ur eyes. not the product shot. which i think is one of the drawback with dslr's u dun see the actaul image on the lcd before taking it..u have to take the pic first. but theres a new dslr out that lets you do it forgot by who
