Yeah, the woods were definitely lacking a little color.

What aperture did you shoot that at?
I would have either stopped down to f/8-11 so the whole image is in focus, or opened up to max aperture and just get part of the bridge in focus. It looks like just the hills are in focus, and the oof bridge distracts me.

The unfocused post really bugs me. I think it would do better had that post been cropped out, like this.

My failed attempt at a studio shot. There were pro photographers there but I thought I would try my hand at it...This made me realize i need a better lens if not a flash haha...I used a 50mm f1.8 for most of these since the 18-55 kit lens was not working too well....I want a damn 28-135 already =(.

28-135 isnt much better in low light.... actually not at all. but yeah it looks like u were using there modeling light as ur only source of light.... were the photographer's strobes what was lighting it very dimly until they actually went off? if so that would explain the white balance and the fact that it was nowhere near enough light..... the modeling light is actually just a household lightbulb that stays on so it makes it possible to focus properly, and basically just see what the hell u are doing...

Ye pretty much I used the modeling light. The other photographer he had a couple strobes setup. I tried a few things but when they opened the bay doors on the opposite side of the room it helped a little at times but for the most part I was pretty fucked. I needed a flash most of the time and I think that would have helped me out quite a bit. too bad 430ex's are still pricey. maybe I can see what they can do on black friday or something.

one on camera flash really wouldnt have done much for u as far as shooting the car.... maybe the model with small amounts of the car in the background but yeah on camera flash and cars in dark settings dont mix too well...
