This weekend has been full of win. Power folding mirrors and JDM fog lights came in. Picked up a used power steering pump from the yard for $15, because it's a 1/2 off weekend. Time to get some things done before acquiring more parts. I can honestly say I have a stock pile of goodies that need attention before installing them. I'm just gonna get my hands on some Morimoto retrofits to complete my JDM headlamps and that's last thing I buy until I mount some of these goodies.

Thanks guys, I polished them out yesterday after work. I am hoping to take them apart today and clean the lenses from the inside. Just takes soap and water. Eventually, I am going to just swap lenses with the USDM foglights that are currently on my car. Final product, Black Housed JDM foglights.

Well it's obvious that these fogs lights have seen better days. I started off with a decent set, just needing some TLC.



as you can see this one was having condensation issues to begin with. that black stuff is clear silicone.



After some polishing, It was obvious that they had to be taken apart and cleaned. I got a little impatient so they are going to have to go for another round.





Pic of the lenses after being removed and washed with soap and water. I was able to clean off almost all of the rust.



After some masking I painted the outer lenses with semi- gloss black. I love the way they came out. They are going to look awesome.





So the final plan with these is to remove the USDM lenses from the set currently on the CB and slide these into place. I got the idea of blacking out the surround after I did the USDM black housings. I first tried it on the turn signals in the bumper and thought it would also look great on the fogs. JDM headlight lenses will get the same treatment. USDM lenses will remain on the vehicle during DD so they will be black housed as well.

Sunday was quite productive. I haven't had any power steering for a few years now. I picked up another P/S pump from the yard on a 1/2 off weekend for $15 only to destroy it. Using an impact gun I managed to strip the threads on the nut and shaft of the pump. Found out the hard way that the nut holding the pulley to the pump was reverse thread. The whole reason I wanted to remove the pulley was to install my AEM under-drive pulleys. In the end I picked up a power steering pump seal set to rebuilt the pump using the un-stripped shaft from the bad pump on the car. I am going to be replacing the pulley on my alternator this coming Sunday.

Improvements, lol. probably not in my case. I have been driving without a P/S belt for the longest time. I might get something after swapping the Alt pulley. Oh that reminds me, no more gutting out a second IAB for double stacking. I picked up a Blacktraxx phenelic double stack. My B-day is on 10 days and I am kinda excited to see what gifts I get. Thankfully I have a very supportive GF.

I want a set of those pulleys for my h22. Ive had 2 sets but for the f22. It looks dope.
