I really don't need to reply to this statement, as it has already been addressed. Not only has it been addressed here, but it has been addressed previously.
The moderators are human. They are volunteers. Nobody is making any money running this site. The moderators do it for free, and I pay to do it (decal sales and donations help a great deal, and I must say that this month is the first month in a LONG time that I've gotten by without a single out-of-pocket expense thanks to the generosity of the members).
Things get missed. Sometimes moderators make a bad call. It happens.
However, when it happens, a polite email saying "hey, I don't think this is right" goes MUCH further with me, or the banning moderator, than blowing your top and spouting off a bunch of "you know what's wrong with you?" insults.
owequitit can be harsh sometimes, I agree. However, he is one of the most consistent moderators when it comes to rule enforcement. When someone breaks the rules and he sees it, he takes care of it. A few of the other moderators choose not to ban, but rather attempt to mediate (I respect that decision as well). owequitit, as well as any other "dick" moderators, are not bad. In fact, they are doing exactly as they should be doing.
Ok. You don't like owequitit. We don't watch over this forum in a hawklike manner, weilding the banhammer of justice to your liking. Understood. That's still opinion, and something that I've already given a worthwhile argument against. Tell me something new. Say something productive. You want things to change around here? This is your chance to make it happen. Something WILL change around here one way or another.
You have been called out. You have been challenged. Your response is to whine about one moderator, one member (that HAS been banned for his actions PLENTY of times... and never once complained about it), and one fairly ancient thread.
I don't accept those things as good enough reasons for you to make two threads slapping me in the face. As far as I'm concerned, you have just walked into my living room and slapped me in the face. I expect to hear a damn good reason for it.
Don't tell me I'm fair. Don't tell me I'm a good guy, and I'm doing a good job here. I know these things already... however, you've spent the last few days saying otherwise, until I confront you about it. I want to hear it. I want to hear your reasons, and I want to know why you think it's important enough to show such blatant disrespect.
