I'm sitting here reading this thread and its funny as hell. RHondatheHonda is pissed. I myself have nothing but positive things to say about the forum since i've joined. I have met lots of members and I also talked to a few that didn't know who I was until I told them my name on the forum LOL. I never got any ignorant replies even when I was a complete n00b. Sure people have gotten pissed with me, but that was my fault for not reading the information that was all ready available here on the forum. Once i took the time out to do research and ask solid meaning full questions it was cool. RHondatheHonda I much like you look are forum like a family, a brotherhood of people how share the love of a grocery getting, panty-dropping, auto-crossing machine, but what u should Know is just as in reality no to people are gonna like the same things. You can't say that the forum is going down because nothing intrest you. I am very satisfied with the Off-Topic Section and for that matter the whole forum, and I even let my friends know whats going on. One thing you should remember is "We are grouped together by individuality" and yes i got that off the Scion billboard but it fits LOL

This site has gone downhill since this summer. I've been here lurking since October of '06 and I can say that this is the lowest point that I have seen in my stay here. I'm not saying that my stay has been very long or that I'm of any authority on the matter, just stating a thought-out opinion and looking for other's thoughts. So, where is the community? Where is the love? I remember when we weren't hondatech.

I use to stay on this site allday-everyday. I loved reading every thread about everything. I liked hearing about everyones life events and reading the backandforths. It was like a networked family just interacting and being cool with oneanother. We had asshole uncles and dumbass cousins and wise grandparents- ready to tell the tales and share knowlege. I was hooked. Hours of reading a day, swear it, but now- this site has become something that I look at once a week for a few reasons.

First reason being that offtopic, and the community in general, has degraded itself to something not worth caring about. Gone are the days where you could start a thread about something and have it stay about that thing without being flamed or it just getting out of hand. The laid back originals that actually helped and chatted are becoming less and less, while the new, more hostile regulars are just bullying people and trying to do things for the lulz. This is not 4chan. This is not Ebaums. This is not SomethingAwful. Stop posting fucking memes out of context. here's a meme for you-Newfags. This is NOT Honda-Tech. So stop being complete asshats. We are a community with a special interest in the cb7 chassis code, if you can't be a legitimate part of the community go to the degenerative cess pools that are 4chan,ebaums, somethingawful and honda-tech.

The problem mostly lies in the fact that noone respects anyone else here anymore. You can't have an opinion without some immature or pointless reply involving a fucking internet meme.

Someone says something off color and everyone goes- 'OOOHOHHHOHHOHH, you're gonna get it." 'banhammer' and '****'. Again what is this 4chan?-"85000000 get!" Stop being trolls. I knew that this site was going to hell in a hand basket when I saw all the mindfucks posted up about a month or two ago. It all started with a dead girl and ended with a dead community.

I just feel that a lot of this site's better points--diy write ups, all the tech info, pretty much everything except off topic, is being completely thrown out the window by how shitty our actual interaction is getting. Hell, not to offend chris, but it's a sad day when the best new thread is by Cvc7chris. If anyone remembers the fallout that came from his early days here a year ago, then the point of the statement will be gotten. Again, not to offend you Chris, You're alright in my book these days, one of the more relaxed, least dickish members floating around.

This is just me talking, am I the only one who is seeing this decline? What say you cb7tuner?

tldr Cb7tuner is starting to suck, because of ass-hattery.

I'm just seeing this now, since I've been working nonstop since Tuesday (1100 miles driven since Tuesday... fun stuff!)

Anyway, I have to say... you have a lot of valid points.

However, if you notice threads from years past, it ALWAYS gets like this around this time of year. Summer ends, school starts, and people get pissy. It's normal. There are a few asshats, I admit... I stopped banning for stupid stuff because I just got sick of all the angry emails. I don't like having to explain myself, yet I like letting things go unexplained even less. I suppose the staff will need to start cracking down again until things get calm once more. Of course, mods that ACTUALLY do their job consistently (like owequitit) are often the "bad guys"... so guess what... you're all going to hate the staff if you want the place to be nice again!

Another thing is that CB7s are becoming VERY cheap. They aren't the "save up to buy a nice car and mod it right" cars that they were when most of us started. They're $700 beaters that people expect to be racecars. The cars draw a different crowd these days.

Look to 3geez.com. When I joined 3geez, back in 2004, the place was just like you're describing cb7tuner. People were obnoxious. The members that knew things were irritable and not helpful at all. The rest were obnoxious idiots that flamed people every chance they got, or clueless noobs that could do nothing more than bumble around in the dark, stumbling into each other, and saying "I dunno man..."
Now, 3geez is a kickass forum again. Why? Because the cars got TOO old. They aren't cool enough for the cheap idiots, and they're in need of too much maintenance. The only people left are the true enthusiasts.

As the 5th and 6th gen Accords get cheaper, the 4th gen will follow the 3rd gen into obscurity... leaving just the real fans behind.




So, it's the time of year and the time in the CB7's lifetime that is to blame. If you look beneath the asshattery, you'll see that the same close ties are still there. Take a look at the thread about the upcoming Florida meet if you don't believe me.

You haven't been here long to know the real history behind cb7tuner.com..you only joined after a year of browsing..I've been in this place when it had it's ups and downs.

I've had my share of disagreements with Deev a long time ago and nearly resulted in me getting banned but a friend of mine helped quell the situation..and at one point I did prove a point with Owe I know his highly opinionated but I learned to deal with it...but whatever..it's all in the past.

No one is trying to be a follower on this site...we all converge for the kill because you blatantly show your stupidity. You don't think before you speak it's two people versus 18,487 members...it's almost like your trying to stir the pot if you will.

It's like trying to start a fight with a sling shot with a person who has a high powered rifle. In the end you loose.

If you hate it here so much just leave. I do agree it has its ups and downs but then again what site doesn't?
