dude they cant write u up on new charges just cause u fought the original ones. if thats what the ticket says then thats what they are going to charge u with. to be honest fighting it isnt a bad idea because from what ur saying the officer was using that law out of context a reckless driving charge would have been more appropriate not to mention 9 times out of 10 if you show up to court the officer wont and the ticket will be thrown out. if their is no one to defend the ticket they have no choice but to take ur word for it. its just a waste of time and money if u were going to work that day or something and im not sure but u might get court charges but it will be a lot less then the ticket.Originally posted by 19dabeast85 View PostMy only concern with fighting it is if they decide to slap me with something worse (such as wreckless driving). I wonder if playing dumb like "my foot slipped off the clutch" or "my foot got stuck on the gas" would work. I fully admit that I spun the tires, but it WAS an honest accident, I wasn't trying to spin, it just happened because of several circumstances.....and $240 is very steep for me. I really think the officer sorta targeted me because of what I drive....I got that impression from him, but I would never mention that in court because I'm sure it wouldn't fly there.

Well here's the deal: The cop was a Winthrop University cop which is sorta a sub section of Rock Hill police, so I spoke to the University chief of police here at Winthrop. He informed me that it is a 2 point ticket and that while the judges here in Rock Hill are VERY unlikely to drop the points, they'll more than likely drop or significantly reduce the fine if I go in and just be honest about it. Say that I wasn't trying to break the law, didn't even realize it was a law, but that I know I should take responsibility for it. I'm working my way through school and can't afford the fine, so PLEASE reduce or drop the fine....pretty much butter up to the judge. IDK, it might work. I've only got 2 point off of my license from 2 years back so the 2 extra ones shouldn't impact my insurance much...
And as far as that silly comment against the F22 power.....I'm actually running really good tires, Bridgestone Potenza RE960AS Pole Position OEM size. Don't be dissing the F22. I can lay down 2 marks (yes TWO) anytime and chirp second whenever I please. My Member's Ride Thread

Chirp third and get back to us.
And I dont see how "new clutch" or "learning how to drive stick" wont help you.
