I had to swap mine on a different kit than is listed so far.

BTW...don't run these for low beams unless you have projectors...you'll blind the shit out of everyone

can anyone tell me if there is a huge difference in 35w to 55w.
      other than a larger draw.

You don't want to go over the O.E. power rating. Stick to the 35w. 55w is pulling way too much current and could damage the circuitry.
There are no black and white suspension answers!!!!!!!!!!!

i actually prefer cars with hid's because i know cops arent equipped with them. makes them easier to make out.

Don't add to the problem. Honestly, you should just be happy people turn on their headlights. The number of cars I see with DRLs or no lights on is amazing.

i got 55 watt in my projectors, i love them. LOL once you go 55 you never go back.

but for the retro im doing in my cb7 im doing 35 watts.
What makes me laugh about forums, is that no matter how much you try to help someone, they dont take the advice. Go ahead and do it the hard way.

You got to respect what you drive, and appreciate what you have, making the best of what you got. and if that means putting CAI, HID's, a phat stereo system, and a idiot in the drivers seat...then so be it!

                          Retro!

Thats bs when the OEM high beam pulls 60W ( its even on the back of your bulb. i looked on my silver star high beam bulb that i and many members have run in our low beams for YEARS ) . low beams are only 10W less so the argument that 55 is pulling " way too much " is out the window.

The problem with running HID ballasts on stock wiring is during the startup period. the ballast has to supply a 25,000 volt charge to the bulb to strike the arc. This startup is when the damage is done to harnesses that can't stand up to it. All cars makes are different and I'm sure the cb can handle it, but for 20.00 more dollars I was guaranteed that my stock harness won't burn up. Oh, and I've been running DDM ballasts for two years now no problems.
