for those of you with kids. when you go grocery shopping, if you let them "help" the cashier get items out of the cart, or scan, etc... they HATE it.


the hardest part of my day is not screaming out "get your fuckin kid out of the cart so i can do my fuckin job!!!"

At the very least, have your check book out and fill everything in except the total.

Ya cant forget about those people who use the self check outs that dont even know how to use a computer and it takes them days to push the buttons and they have to read every one of them to make a selection. THEN they break the machine and causes even more hold ups

I work in a grocery store and the girls i know that run the registers love kids except the bratty ones that are crying or screaming the whole time.

also for the check thing, if you've written a check to us before, we keep you in our database so all you have to do is sign the check then we auto fill it out with the printers and have you verify everything is correct after it's done printing.

I'm sure this is going to go away because we've been sold to a smaller family owned chain in northern Kentucky. oh well.

I purposely go into stores without my wallet. When I go up to pay, I ask the cashier to watch my children (I have 12 of them) while I go to my car and get my wallet.

I return 15 minutes later with my coin tray and not nearly enough money. When they ask me where my wallet is, I tell them its in my pocket. When I tell them I'm not going to be able to buy some of the stuff, I start by picking the cheapest items first. When they're all gone, then I go to frozen foods, or something really heavy. I don't want to carry heavy groceries home anyway.

When the total is added up, I start counting the pennies. I like stacking them in piles of 2 across the conveyer belt. Sometimes I organize them by how shiny they are. I like to keep the shiny pennies. I give the cashier the pennies first because I would rather have a coin tray full of quarters than pennies. Who wouldn't? Sometimes I ask them about cigarettes while I'm waiting. When they ask me for my ID I say, "So THAT'S why I needed my wallet!". When the cashier rings up the cigarettes, I say, "Oh no I don't want the cigarettes. I was just curious about them. I don't smoke."

I also like asking the cashiers if they take trades for children. Oh, and I like to flirt with male cashiers. Especially the young ones.

The biggest fucking douchebags come in and play like 35 numbers which takes 20 minutes and change their mind half a dozen times and i can't fucking stand it.
