Damn..and we thought the trans was already set to drop. At least you have the Liberty to pull the motor and trans from.

It was stuck so bad.... It was just seized to block... It came out together and it took the air hammer outside the truck to separate it... We did not miss any bolts... It just sucks
That is exactly what i thought of when i read the title.
I'm VERY happy this is here.
Btw, I had an awesome thread regarding this. Got to 15ish pages then exploded.
OP, any questions?
MRT
37.5 MPG, AC on, cruising at 80.
30.0 MPG, AC on, aggressively driving around 90.
27.5 MPG, no AC, cruising at 90 with occasional gridlock. 40 degrees Fahrenheit
never worked on anything Chrysler but that looks like a pain
why did you have to pull the engine ?
Bought it seized... When I pulled the water pump there were chunks of metal (10-15mm in size) in the coolant... I am going to pull the heads to see the damage tomorrow.
The engines are ridiculously over priced for these. $1800-
$2200 ebay $2200-$2700 local.. So I bought a rolled Jeep for the engine and to part out.
Almost seems as though most of you have never pulled an engine from any car before. Engine and trans is usually the way it goes the easiest. Step 1 is usually to remove the hood, makes things much easier. That way you would have been able to use the engine chains the way they are supposed to be used. To angle & level the engine and trans as you lift it out. The way you have it hooked up there, looks like it would be a real nightmare!
I figure that it's six of one and half a dozen of the other when it comes to pulling an engine from an Import or Domestic. Except for those f#@king POS German cars. There is no room and you have to remove pretty much the entire front end to pull the motor.

It would be much easier leave the trans in this thing... Hood I could of remove but it wasn't in the way.. The engine sits almost completely behind the cowl. So only way I could get it attached... It needed to be at that angle to clear a cross member.
i hate american cars as in like driving and fixing it.....but they made good muscle cars back in the days....all the american cars look like crap.........honda is the way to go
