The d16z6 came in Ex's aswell 125hp in a 2300lb car vs 146hp in a 2700+.My stock 4 door 320k ex ran a 10.4 @66 8th compared to my accords 10.9 @64.My ol stock ef sedan d15b2 dual point ran a 10.9@62.D series are good engines lots of support, but as said the d17 is no where near as bullet proof as the d16z6,d16a6,d15b or y8 hell the b7 is great aswell just weaker rods which is basically the same as the ol B2 just multi port.I love a d series plan an simple.I built a mild b7(head work full bolt ons an z6 trans etc etc) which would have walked my current accord with the f22b1 with ease up to a point.Power to weight is where its at an always has/will be.OP save for the K you will never look back!

I'm not posting here to knock you or anything maple but if at 8psi and you're blowing baseball size holes through your block, why would you want to try 10psi instead?

What are you on for a tune? Maple, it's a D17 Need I say moar?! Run it n/a and never look back. Or, return to build or swap when you have more funds. Might be slower than shit but hey, you won't get stranded. Priorities.

Thinking a cb7 is hip is sad. Sure there decent cars, I have had many and loved them, but come on bro. I have 1,300 in the ECU alone. I could have an H22 for that plus my other mods, AEM Meth kit, Turbo kit, suspention, new paint, etc etc. Over 10grand. Basically it's because I got the turbo used. Unknown Condition.... but yeah...

thats a false statement...

it comes down to who's tuning, like any other boosted engine. you need kpro to properly run this motor when boosted. cant run a vafc and not expect issues.

So yeah I have not been here, trying to straighten out shit,

Downside, civic is a POS, shit keeps breaking, causing more money wasted in the car. Was going to trade it but I will only get 1,500$ trade in for car. Then have crazy payments because of bad credit.

So yeah I decided to keep it.

I blew a hole the size of a baseball in block. I got a new EX Motor for 400$. Swapped it, engine was quiet. Great. Start it up, runs good, Drive it, smoke fest.

Yeap the Turbo (Garrett T25) has been blown for a long time. Which explains the burning oil and me with burning eyes, and the smell. Totally bad now, TONS of smoke, its crazy. BAD.

On top of that, the Headgasket on the new engine is gone due to the shitty D17 Deseign. So the headstuds will be replaced with another new set of ARPS (3rd set of ARPS I bought), New OEM headgasket. And I will be spraying the Gasket with Hylomar BRAND spray Gasket- what rolls royce uses.

So Yeah

I ordered a Godspeed T28 Turbo. Will have it here on Monday. I will put a nice review on this cheap ebay turbo.

Also my Master Clyinder went. Had to get another one of those... Then I set wetness around my Power Steering Lower Hose, yeap it's dryrotted. Gotta get that replaced since now air is getting in the PS. It's just never ends!!!!!

So what's next:

Remove Head, Resurface. ARP Headstuds, Headgasket, and Install new bigger T28 Turbo.

Push 10PSI instead of 8PSI.

I have been on an AEM Methanol Kit for awhile now. Huge Difference in AFR's...

Other then that, car still has it's problems, I got bad inner tie rods on ebay, had to send them back, ordered OEM ones... etc etc etc.

Never Ending! Hopefully this will be last time I do a Headgasket on a D17. If it blows again. I give up haha.
