Ford EXP. Essentially, a Ford Escort with 70hp (this turbo model made 120hp), but with 2 seats, and a really cool appearance (IMO.) This was taken from expln7.com, the enthusiast site for the Ford EXP and Mercury LN7. There are some pretty cool cars on there. This is a car that I think I've seen here and there, but never knew what it was. Pretty sweet!

The followup to it was the Ford Probe, which had close ties to the Mazda MX6. The Ford Escort GT was also related to the Mazda Protege.
I don't think that one had any import ties, but it's interesting that the cars that replaced it were essentially imports!
It's a shame that car didn't catch on. On paper, it's rather competitive with the CRX... and it came with a turbo!

What's the specs on that? Isn't it just a supercharged 3.8 like the Grand Prix's and whatnot?
How about a Lincoln LS? And I mean as a tuner car, not donked out.
They came either 3.9L V8 auto, or with a V6 that you could get with a 5 speed manual. My dad has a 2001 LS V8. Real nice car. Definetly have some sporting potential to them.

The Lincoln LS has long been one of my favorite cars. My realtor had one in 2003 when I bought my house, and I fell in love with it. NO power whatsoever, and little mod potential without serious work, which is sad. If I could've dropped a Mustang engine into one, I'd own a swapped one by now! It's more Jaguar than Lincoln, it seems (shares a platform with the Jaguar S Type, as well as the last unsuccessful Thunderbird)
I've never seen a tuner version. Always donked ghetto hoppers, or grampamobiles!

The LSE, Lol. The V8 is a AJV8, I wonder if you could swap a AJ34S. The motor from the Supercharged Jag R series.
