Anyway, coins would be useful in some ways, but I honestly DESPISE carrying a pocket full of change. I use my credit card for 95% of my purchases anyway.

However... how do you tip strippers with coins? Deposit them in the crack of your choice?
Strippers are going to have to do more for me if they expect me to step it up to $5 bills!

I barely carry cash anymore, unless I am going somewhere that absolutely requires it. My credit card pays me to spend money so its a no brainer. Most money in circulation is digital anyway.

I would be more supportive of a move to get rid of pennies. It would be awesome to just lop off 1 decimal point from our currency system. Pennies are pointless these days. They cost way more to produce than they are worth.

I'm curious about that $150M saved. That can't be in 1 year. $150M saved over like hundreds and hundreds of years is not worth it. Coins suck.

Coinage lasts longer and goes into machines easier but on the flip side, it's so fun to deface money.

They are heavier though, and while I too use my card for almost all my purchases, the few times I do use cash, I dont want to have a pocket full of heavy (gold???) coins.

Which, I feel, further justifies my point; who uses cash these days? For the few times I do use a single, I wouldnt mind it being paper.

i hate cash. the tolls going into MO are cash only. as are most events i go to around tulsa like the drag strip (no i dont race my car) are cash only. you would think in this modern day and age cash would almost be non existent.
