    Honda Collector (Hoarder?)

    Hi Guys and Gals,

Give your stories or feed back, would love to hear side of being a Honda enthusiast or just hoarder (of whole cars, parts, accessories or whatever Honda).

It has been a while since I made a thread but this time I am compelled to make a thread as a means of venting, accepting, boasting, making people envy or just plain announcing my mile stone or realisation, take your pick or All of the above

Well the announcement as stated is that I believe I am now a Honda Collector slash Hoarder maybe.

Why I say this? Because I now own officially a collection of rare (very and or extremely hard to get) Honda vehicles (in my side of the woods anyway and I believe in most parts of the world now).

Rare as highly respected or prized by people in the know of that model (and by people that are Honda enthusiasts).

Ok Ill list out the cars soon but a preview is the list of cars in my Sig.

Cb JoeyG should post his collection here. Now he says he has eight Accords.

I currently have four CB7s, one CB9 (see sig). I have owned four others: 91 EX sedan, rescued & sold; 93 EX coupe, wrecked & parted out; 92 LX coupe, rescued & sold; 91 LX sedan, parted out, bashed, scrapped. Many parts (not as many as I used to) in the garage. I'm not so much a hoarder, I just like the cars; they all get used. I drive the 90, my wife drives the 93 LX sedan, daughter #2 has the wagon at school in TX, daughter #3 and son have the EX sedan at school in FL; 92 EX is a spare (my son will use it over the summer when home from school if he finds a job).

You know, I never noticed until now that you have TWO transtop Del Sols! Holy hell!

I've had my fair share of Accords:
I have my 92 LX. Nothing Special. Had a 92 DX that I crashed (also nothing special.) Also had my 86 LXi hatchback (not terribly special, but getting hard to find in un-rusted condition like mine was... sold it last year to a CB7tuner.) I had an 02 Accord SE (that I despised).
I also have my 09 Fit with 383,000 miles on it The car isn't rare, but the mileage is! All but 30 of them are me.

I also have more parts for the CB7 in my basement than I do on the car itself.

Plenty of other cars in my history as well, but I'll leave them out... since this is about Hondas. I will say this, though... having owned a number of GM products and a few Chrysler products (ranging from 1975 to 2006 model years), there truly is a noticeable difference in build quality. I'd argue that my CB7 is better-made than any of those American cars. The Volvo that I owned is the only other car that comes close.

I've owned a ton of Honda's. I think about 15. Never more than 4 at a time though.

I'm happy to say I've had one car for each of the years of 4th Gen Accords.

First bought my 93 EX Coupe when I was 16, still have it.

Second was a 91 LX Coupe that I bought and flipped for profit

Third was a 90 EX 5spd Sedan that I kept for 4 yrs, just recently sold a week ago

Fourth is my 92 LX Sedan Auto that I use to DD to work everyday.

Definitely like the 92/93s a lot better than the 90/91s, they just feel like they're more solidly put together for some reason

I seem to believe the opposite. There are a lot of things on my 90 that I haven't had to mess with in 328,000 miles that I've had problems with on my 92-93s. The 90 still has the original steering rack (new tie rods), calipers and rear wheel cylinders, rear springs and shocks (have new to install, but still seem to function fine), FITV, IACV, automatic shoulder belts still work, everything in the cluster works.

I prefer the lower seating position in my 90 as well, but this may just be from 240,000 miles of me (now at 240) sitting in the seat!

                        To each his own.

I prefer a 92/93 as well. I currently own one of each. Style of the 92/93 is much more to my taste. And 92s and 93's I have had have generally been much better cars both mechanically and cosmetically.

The 90-91 feels dated to me, while the 92-93 just seems much more modern. I like the looks of the airbag steering wheel, manual seat belts, and tail lights on the 92-93 models. I do love the front bumper on the 90-91, though!

I do like the 92/93 front bumper but I like the 90/91 front bumper more. However, a 90/91 front bumper on a 92/93 doesn't flow well if you ask me. The 90/91 is more square, the bumpers and such, while the 92/93 seems more rounded off.

I prefer the 92/93 because it feels and looks more modern. But the 90/91 has a special spot to me as well.
