I relocated my V220 to the floor a week ago.

I just picked up my black Razr V3 today. Sweet phone. Well worth it as it only was 40 more than fixing my old V220.

i got the SLVR, erm, and put some MP3's on it, but i can't figure out how to put one as my ringtone..i'm assuming it's the same functions as a RAZR though, so maybe someone can help. sorry, i wish i was a H4x0r.

how do you like that SLVR? I like the itunes feature, as I sold my ipod some time ago, and miss it. I know it doesn't hold a tone of music, but i can always get rid of the songs i no longer listen to, and put new ones on..ya like it? I thought about switching to cingular n getting it..

i love it thus far...(3 days) lol. i got an unlocked one off ebay, came with 128mb mem card, usb cable, car chager and the usual home charger deal, earphones and a lil belt clip pouch which is ***. they're not available in canada yet, as they're currently exclusive to cingular.

i needed a new phone because my ericsson t610 crapped out on me and i left the phone charger down in boston the other week and wasn't gonna invest money into that shit, so i just got a new phone. i hate flips, cause they all look the same and 99% of them have those stupid lil antenna nibs that are pointless. the onyl flip i ever liked was the razr, but it's just a fashion statement when you get one, and i didn't wanna be like that, and i HATE nokias, because they're hideous with their button arrangements all over the place...really ***.

i saw the SLVR in an electronic store in boston and was like shit, that's perfect for me. i didn't even know it was brand new or not available, but it's the only phone that really suited me that i've seen other than that nokia slider thing that's like 500$ even with a contract....

so yeah i like it. i don't see why anyone really needs mp3's on phones anyway, i mean all of us here have cars...and cd players in them at the very least...i never take the bus, and i'm either out, where i don't need music, or at home, where i have music...

the only place i discovered it's handy is at work, when i clean my section of the kitchen later in the evening, i can just rock it out.

from what i understand, with cingular the phone is still like 199US with a 2 year plan.

i payed 275 shipped and it had all that extra stuff that i don't think comes with the standard package from cingular, plus i still have another year left on my contract and it's 20$ for every month remaning to cancel, not like i could get the phone from another provider anyway, but it may just be worth it to you to get one off ebay if you like you current plan.

well, i don't have cingular right now. I go through verizon. while their service works fine, for me to upgrade my shitty phone, to a razor it's like 400 bucks. plus, my monthly bills are waay to fricken much..so i wanna cancel n change..since cingular seems to be the only company that has the slvr..How do you like the itunes? and, i know they say 100 songs, but how much can it REALLY hold? does it do movies or video clips too?

well i'm still learning what it can do. i'd imagine you can store as many songs as you can fit onto a memory card. it plays up to 192kbps songs, anything higher it said it will likely display song error. you could always get a 512mb car too. you can record like 30 seconds of video at a time with audio. and when i slide the card into my comp i can just drag music to the audio folder on the card, and drag any videos to my computer from it too, so i'd imagine if you had a video on your pc, you could put it on the card as well. like i said, i'm not hacker. i mainly just got the phone to use as a phone, and the camera and vid features come in handy. but i don't plan on surfing the net and shit and checking emails.

yeah i'm on fido...it's canadian. part of rogers wireless...they share networks. yeah the ones on ebay are unlocked. so they were bought from motorola direct and weren't programmed for any one provider. so when i got mine, i just took my SIM card out of my old phone, and put it in the SLVR and it automatically did the rest. save you phone contacts to SIM obviously before, so it's all transferred.

no sim card? i'm not really current on phones really, the phone i just replaced was my first phone. so i don't know when SIM cards were introduced. i'm not sure what you should do then. maybe try and get a new phone from verizon..because if you don't have a sim card, then it must be a lil old, so maybe you can get a new one, and then get the slvr and sell the other new one, or maybe yeah, just go with cingular if you like what they're offering. i wouldn't know cause we don't got em here.

lol, on www.travisty.com there was a phone prank where this guy called auto parts stores asking for buttplugs, and they kept saying "sparkplugs? what kind?" and he never says any other word than buttplug, it's good. the end is the best.

yeah i actually can't afford it either, but i can never help myself. i am mr. impulse buy right here.

i saw one on ebay that was 220 with like 20$ shipping or some shit, it was the cheapest on ebay. no extras with it though.
