I hate em. I guy just called me right now saying he was calling on behalf of some firemens association. He asked me if I think that firemen have a dangerous job. I know they get paid well, and they have a union. So what are they doing bugging me? My responce was simply, "Yeah, I gotta go!"

They're just doing their jobs... as long as they aren't rude, I don't mind. Of course, I only have a cell phone, so I never actually get telemarking calls! Once or twice I've gotten some real jerkoffs... in that case, I play around with them. Some girl called selling me newspapers one time... talked me into trying it for a week or something. She then said "ok, let me transfer you to my manager". I hear her yell "CONFIRMATION PLEASE!" yelled away from the phone. Kinda made me feel like she was saying "I got one!"... I felt like a number, not a person... so I hung up and refused to answer the phone again
She tried to call back 5 times!

My house is on the Do Not Call list, but I've had a few stubborn ones in the past. I usually am really nice and just say I'm not interested in the product. I had a few that tried to tell me that I was more or less scum for not having their product. So I did what any reasonable person would do.
I put my phone in front of my guitar amp and turned the volume waaaaay up and played a few chords.
