    I'm Back!

Woo-Hooo! I'm back bitches! Although no one probably noticed I was gone (I don't have a real big presence on CB7Tuner) I'm back from a One Week Ban!
Guess that's what happens when you flame a Newb for asking "So CB7 means..." I mean, it is like the 40th post of that... but anyway, I got banned and now I'm back. No more flaming in the newb section.

The thing I hate the most is when veterans use the forum as a shield to ask questions about things they should know. I can understand that not everyone comes in knowing everything, but if youve got over 30 posts, that rule shouldnt apply.

I think the biggest problem is that people have no shame. If you don't know what the FUCKING NAME OF THE WEBSITE stands for, you know, that's OK. But keep your damn mouth shut until you find out. Isn't anyone afraid of looking stupid? A little fear of embarassment goes a long way.

the sad reality is that people in this country keep getting more stupid. i was reading a post on another board where this high school age girl called into a radio station to have a nickleback song played. the dj asked if she knew where nickleback was from and she said, "i don't know, cali?" he said no they were from canada. she was like, "oh, i don't know where that is"

                LMFAO!

That was one of the reasons the forum was created too.

The noob forum is a flame free zone. That's the point. If you have a "stupid" question that you know would get flamed, ask in there. Even if you have 5000 posts. If I ask something like "where do I find a washer for my oil plug" in the regular forum, I'd get flamed to hell... 1 in 20 MIGHT actually come through with an answer. If I ask in the noob forum, I might get one response... but it'll be an answer. Or a ban

Thomas_LX, thanks for being cool about it. I know I'm going to have to ban a few good people from time to time. I already have. I don't mean it personally. The rules are there for a reason though, and I mean to be consistent. If I allow some, then it's not fair to those I DO ban. I can't catch it all though, so if anyone ever sees flaming in the noob forum, PM me or one of the other mods!

If you can't safely ask a stupid question here, we might as well become part of Honda-Tech. Not everyone is an expert. Hell, I know a good deal, and I still have questions that are fairly stupid... I'd rather ask a stupid question and get a good answer, then "try it and see" and break something. It doesn't cost me anything to ask about an oil pan washer... it will cost me a bunch if I decide to "try it and see" and blow my motor due to a loss of oil during my next trip to Massachusetts!
