Back from the dead, lol. Sorry all but I've been extremely busy. With work, school, my car(s), & tryin to get a house.
But this weekend is the Buschur Sport Compact Shootout. Saturday is the dyno and Sunday is the actual event. I am sure it will be a huge turnout. Hopefully I'll see some of y'all there. The weather is suppose to be good Sunday (sunny with high of 74 and low of 57). I won't be there Saturday, but Sunday I'll be there for sure.
Hope to see some of ya there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

With just a little over a month left till this meet, I just wanted to get an idea on how many people are coming. We have one cabin reserved for 2 nights (June 26-28) at Buck Creek State Park in Springfield. Even if you don't want to stay the night, you can show up for the cookout. This isn't just for the "car guys". Bring the family, something to drink and your favorite side dish. Just let me or Jeff know. Thanks!!

Is anyone interested in going to the Buschur Sport Compact Shootout this Sunday? I'll be up there for sure, and there will be alotta quick cars up there.
This is its second year for the Shootout, and last year was decently big. This year they even opened it up to v-6's and rotary powered. So it should be an even bigger turn out.

Ok, Scenic drives are tough to come by out by Springfield, but I have found some interesting places to see.
National Museum of the United States Air Force (This place is huge, if we choose it, it could be an entire day to explore. It's phenomenal) - http://www.roadsideamerica.com/story/10789
Chateau LaRoche - http://www.roadsideamerica.com/story/9795
Cincinnati Police Museum - http://www.roadsideamerica.com/story/20408
Hartman's Rock Garden - http://www.roadsideamerica.com/story/10324
Noah's Ark, Dillinger's Jail Cell, things swallowed museum - http://www.roadsideamerica.com/story/12085
The oldest concrete street in America and the Shortest street in America (15 ft long (By comparison, our cars are longer), the only shorter street in the world is in Scotland, it's between 6 and 7 feet. ) - http://www.roadsideamerica.com/story/12085
Touchdown Jesus - http://www.roadsideamerica.com/story/9786
World's Largest Loaf of bread, sorta. - http://www.roadsideamerica.com/story/9786
World's Largest Horseshoe Crab, sorta - http://www.roadsideamerica.com/tip/12731
Jungle Jim's Unusual Grocery Store - http://www.roadsideamerica.com/tip/1800 - No photography allowed? Doesn't say anything about me walking around with the world's smallest hi-res digital video camera. We could expose Jungle Jim's to the world BWAHAHAHAAAAAA, My evil plan could come to fruition!
Giant footprint rock - http://www.roadsideamerica.com/tip/16588
Futura Mating Flying Saucer House - http://www.roadsideamerica.com/tip/2635
Chips-n-Giggles Restaraunt - http://www.roadsideamerica.com/tip/7956
A longer drive, but in KY there is a park called Big Bone Lick State Park.
I know it's a big list of choices, but I tried to pick the best ones available. PLEASE look them over, and everyone let me know what the would be interested in. A couple of them might require some convincing. The giant loaf of bread might be interesting for pics, but it's on a factory property and may or may not be accessible. After everyone has chimed in, I can plot the drive route. I'll be posting this on ohioaccords as well.

Google says an hour and a half just for the drive from Springfield to Lancaster, not including all the destinations. I threw a lot of destinations up there because I figured we could all agree on something, but I do think the first plan would be a more scenic drive and have better photo ops. This second plan is more of an oddities of Americana thing.
