just please what ever you do, check your brakes and tires before you go on the mountian run. last year we brakes smoking, we thought someone's car was on fire. THis mountain run is serious and it will put stress on brakes and tires.

Yea I think the wagons were the only ones not smoking because we got the big brakes to handle it haha. But definitely get a fresh brake job or at least know how to use them. Dont hold them down so that they get stupid hot. Kind of pulsate a little bit so that they can cool down. I did that last year and my brakes didnt smoke a bit.

its not even that, people need to learn how to engine brake, that way you dont have to overheat your brakes. down shift and let the motor help slow down the car.

Yea im suprised my tranny didnt blow from that mtn run. I was sure something was going to die. I still managed to get about 25mpg tho....I dont know how I did that!
