ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    new wheels= new problems

ok so i bought my friend wheels(dont kno the make) off of his 240sx but they origanally came off of a civic. they are 225 50 r16's and my problem is that my rear scubs every once in a while.
could this mean i need a new suspension? or do i need to get a smaller profile tire?

i would thinks it's the width. i am running 205/55/r16's in the rear and no problem. maybe look into a spacer. something you put on the studs topush the wheel out further so it wound hit anything.

You could go with smaller tires but, it would be easier to roll your fenders. just check out the DIY on fender rolling.

Yeah and after you roll your fender go head a roll a fatty blunt and take it to the face like a professional. And as far as suspension goes, Ebay or Craigslist or whatever. You can find good shocks pretty much anywhere.

are you sure your rubbing the fender or part of the suspension? I was worried about the suspension. the bar that bolts up to the frame at the top of the wheel well is what i am talking about(forgot what it was called)

                      x2.

225 is definitely on the wide side for the rear wheel wells, but that's the first thing I would check.

                      I had a small rubbing issue on 215/45-17 with a +40 offset.

Honestly, I would adjust the tire size before I'd tweak the fenders. There's no real reason to be running a tire that wide, and you risk cracking the paint and causing rust issues when you roll the fenders, unless you have it done by a professional using proper tools.

                              Profile doesn't matter...width matters.

You're running a 225/50-16. You should be running a 205/50-16 to keep the OEM tire circumference.

The 225 width is what's hurting you, not the 50 series tire with your current setup.
