ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

I bought it for $350 last night and so far only put in 20 in gas and about 10 worth of bulbs that were out to be able to drive it home. Its going to take some investment to bring it up to proper operating condition. Its running on 3 cylinders, puking oil from every seal and gasket that there is, has input shaft noise, and you have to shift it just right or it grinds. I saw through the rim that the pads are worn slap, smooth out and it sounds like the ball joints and rear bearings are toast. Needs a radio and a new muffler as well.

I'm sure i'll have some money tied up in this thing soon enough...

                      $800 on paint/bondo
                      $600 wheels/tires
                      $325 full exhaust

$500 in suspension parts- bushings, ball joints, tie rods, wheel bearings.
$150 in failed brake jobs ... to hell with the hub over rotor design.
That doesn't include the well over $1000 in stereo equipment

Even after all of that, it is still just a work in progress, but project cars are never finished.

Bought my first one for $1150, still have it. Spent about $6.5k on it. 2nd one (wagon) bought for $450, spent $100 on a tranny, traded for a da9 and sold that for $3500. Then my current (3rd cb) I traded for my Subaru wagon + $1000 on his side (which I traded for my crx that I got for $1200) so pretty much paid $200 for it. And spent like $45 bucks on it haha
